The paintings you see here span several years, marking a period where I was captivated by the allure of colorful figures set against stark black background. In these works, my focus was on the figure itself, isolated from any context or background. These figures stand alone, with no shadows or surroundings to anchor them in a specific time or place.
For now, this chapter of my artistic journey has come to an end. In my current works, the focus remains on the figure, but these figures are no longer floating in voids of negative space. What does that say about my current space?
